a long + kinda confusing name 🍵

Drinking Nourishing Tonic Herbal Infusions (aka herbal tea) is one of the absolute best things that you can do for your overall health and wellbeing Reader.

Collaborating with the plants that grow abundantly around you; drinking up their vitality, their strength, their magic into your body. Bringing earth medicine deep into your spirit AND into your cells.

So what's the long + kinda confusing name all about?

NOURISHING herbs are very high in vitamins and minerals and provide deep cellular support to your organs, tissues, fluids, bones, and muscles (all parts of your body!) They are safe for daily consumption by most people.

TONIC herbs have a general strengthening, toning, restoring, and enlivening effect on the whole body while simultaneously offering vitality and support to specific body systems or organs.

HERBAL is descriptive of all the incredible plants that are in your blend! Some great herbal allies to consider are nettle, milky oat tops, lemon balm, red raspberry leaf, tulsi, and spearmint.

INFUSION is another term for herbal tea that steeps for 30 minutes - 8 hours (or more) and that you drink a lot of often. I recommend a quart of infusion a day, 4-6 days a week.

The herbs work beautifully with your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies offering you support wherever you need it!

In fact, beginning to incorporate an infusion practice into their daily self care routine is the first things I teach students and encourage Wild Heart customers to try.

Drinking herbal infusions (aka tea) can decrease stress in your body, help you sleep better, improve digestion, increase energy, and ease aches + pains.

Today I'm drinking the Wild Heart House Blend made up of nettle, oatstraw, lemon balm, tulsi, and peppermint because it is loaded with vitamins + minerals, deeply restorative + grounding, and supportive of my nervous, digestive, immune and endocrine systems. Its our most popular blend at the shop for a reason!

You can order this blend and all of our others online and of course we always have them in stock at the shop!

Curious which blend is right for you? Come on by to Wild Heart and I will help you discover your new herbal allies! We also do custom blends on the spot if we don't have what you need pre-formulated.

Also, SAVE THE DATE! I will be offering an Herbal Tea Blending Workshop on Saturday Feb 28 from 10:30-12:30. More details to come! However, if you're like hell yes I don't need any more details sign me up, here is the link to do so!

In this workshop we will be discussing the healing benefits of drinking herbal tea, which herbs to use and why, blending strategies, and how to begin a daily herbal infusion practice among many other things. Everyone who attends will be crafting and taking home their own custom herbal tea blend!

Our sold out Introduction to Herbalism class last Saturday was so much fun, I couldn't wait to plan this next one!

It's the perfect time of year to start drinking herbal tea. We also have in stock winter wellness remedies like Elderberry Syrup, Fire Cider, our very effective Sinus Relief Steam Blend and many excellent books to begin or continue your herbal studies. Hot tea is always in the pot so come for a cozy visit!

Wild Heart is OPEN Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 12-5 and Saturday 10-3.

Hope to see you at Wild Heart soon!

Love, Nico

Wow does it feel so good to be back at the shop this week Reader! The doors are open, snowdrops are blooming right outside our front door and it was so wonderful to chat about and bag up herbs for the shining humans who stopped by. It almost brought a tear to my eye to be behind the counter. I love Wild Heart so much and I really missed being fully present here! The last few weeks were ROUGH. Right after the blizzard I was wicked sick with an unknown respiratory virus (still coughing) for...

I’m not a big holiday person Reader, and I don't really celebrate Valentine's day BUT I do think it’s sweet to take the time to care for yourself and loved ones during the cold winter months, so maybe this day just serves as a reminder for that. And while we're at it, we don’t have to only celebrate romantic love - how about all kinds of love! Familial love, community love, platonic love, friendship love, those are all for sure equally worth celebrating! So whether you want to get a cute...

Hi Reader, I've given a lot of thought to the General Strike / National Shutdown that is happening this Friday, January 30. Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with ICE OUT NOW!!!! They are kidnapping and killing people in the streets!! and I know there are absolute horrors taking place at those "detention centers". I also completely agree with not giving our labor and hard earned money to corporations that support ICE and the Trump administration. However, I know for sure that HERBS and...
