I've given a lot of thought to the General Strike / National Shutdown that is happening this Friday, January 30.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with ICE OUT NOW!!!! They are kidnapping and killing people in the streets!! and I know there are absolute horrors taking place at those "detention centers". I also completely agree with not giving our labor and hard earned money to corporations that support ICE and the Trump administration.

However, I know for sure that HERBS and COMMUNITY are a big part of the revolution and for that reason I've decided that Wild Heart Herb House will be open during regular hours on Friday as a Community Gathering Space.

We are a community herb shop, a safe space for people to come together as human beings to support one another, and just be together to not feel so alone. We will be open regular hours 12-5.

Complementary delicious and nervous system supporting herbal tea will be in the pot (as always), and you are invited to bring a craft to work on or a book to read. We have collage supplies, oracle decks, and a full library of books too!

So if you are skipping work (fuck yeah good for you!) you don't have to stay at home alone, come hang out with other like hearted humans at Wild Heart!

The shop will be open to make purchases as well (we all need stress relief and immune system support right now) but I ask that you bring cash to pay with to avoid giving money to credit card companies (did you know that 3% of every purchase put on a credit card goes to the cc company and not wild heart?!)

For a small business like mine that 3% makes a difference, which is why we always encourage paying with cash. Thank you to those that do! (and no shame at all for those that don't, I totally understand the ease and need of paying with a card.)

Plus, just about every product we carry at Wild Heart is made in house or by other local herbalists and artisans. Every time you make a purchase with us you are supporting women, families, and the world that you want to live in!

So hang in there my friend, I know a lot of things totally suck right now. I had strep throat at the beginning of the week (don't worry I'm not contagious any more due to antibiotics, and yes I def rely on western medicine in extreme situations when I need to!) and I am soooo over winter!

I've been looking at photos of wild heart + haskell gardens in the summer and am yearning SO HARD for lush green and bright blooms and meandering barefoot...
