Happy Summer Solstice Reader! The longest, brightest day is finally here, and I am so grateful that its a sunny one! I've been feeling this rising crescendo of frantic energy that I hope will break with the solstice, leading us back down to an easy breezy summer season. A dip in the ocean always helps me feel grounded and back in my body and I will definitely be doing that tomorrow! We would love for you to celebrate Summer Solstice with us at Wild Heart Herb House, and have a few ways for you to do that! ONE: Come by Wild Heart today or tomorrow to make a Summer Solstice Smudge Bundle with locally foraged herbs! I will be harvesting herbs from my garden (lemon balm + sage), foraging in the neighborhood (mugwort), and seeing what fallen branches are at Haskell Gardens (pine + thuja) for our bundles. I will also provide bay leaves from our apothecary jar to write a summer intention to lovingly tuck into your bundle. All materials + instructions provided! $10 or FREE with any purchase. Available - Friday June 20 from 12-8 and Saturday June 21 from 10-3. TWO: Open Mic Poetry in the Gardens TONIGHT!! Join us for a heart opening and celebratory session of creativity + joy on what is sure to be a gorgeous evening in the gardens! (have I ever told you that dusk is my favorite time to wander around outside the herbs shop? the magic is PALPABLE!) Bring a blanket or chair as we will gather in the meadow behind the shop, but don't forget to stop by Wild Heart first to get some tea! This event is free to attend, donations are greatly appreciated. Tonight, Friday June 20 from 7-9 pm. THREE: Summer Solstice Stock Up Sale! From now until the end of June, our large bags of herbalist formulated, super delicious, 100% organic, herbal tea blends are 22% off!! We almost NEVER have our tea on sale, as it is our most popular product by far, but this is a little gift to you to celebrate this new season! So come stock up on your favs or try something new! And yes you can brew the day before and drink tea room temp or with ice cubes! It's super yummy this way! I hope you take a moment today to turn your heart towards the sun and express gratitude for everything in your life that you are grateful for, which is so important, especially in times of turmoil and suffering. JOY IS RESISTANCE!!! Our hours are Thursday 12-5, Friday 12-8, and Saturday 10-3 every week. If you can't visit during these hours, please reply to this email or send a dm, we are happy to open for you at other times! ONE MORE THING!! It's hard to believe we're approaching the autumn equinox, the halfway point between summer + winter solstices, but the changes I see out in the world are undeniable! Brilliant yellow goldenrod illuminating the overgrowth on the side of the road, mugwort in full seeded glory preparing for next spring, crispy hydrangeas, and bright orange pumpkins at roadside stands replacing the summer squash and cucumbers. But this time of year also has another meaning for me now... a time of dreaming and...
Hi there Reader! There is definitely a morning crisp in the air and it is getting noticeably darker in the evenings. I know to many of you this means your favorite season is upon us, but as a summer baby I can't help but wish this year's hottest days were yet to come! While I quietly mourn the passing of summer (it went by too fast as always) I also celebrate the bounty of the autumn season upon us, easy sleeping during cooler nights, and all of the incredible events that we have going on...
Hi there Reader! I'm so looking forward to our Summer Herbalism Day Retreat next Saturday! There is nothing more magical, fulfilling, empowering, and just plain fun than spending a day in a...
